Teen charged with sex crime

Damen R. Thompson, 19, New London, faces four felony charges involving sex with a child.
A 15-year-old girl told Detective Sgt. Julie Thobaben, with the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, that the assaults began when she was 12 years old.
She said the assaults escalated from sticking his finger in her mouth to touching her inappropriately and threatening her if she told anyone.
Thompson was arrested outside a Farmington home after refusing to leave when ordered to do so by police in June.
Thompson could spend up to 40 years in prison if convicted of repeated sexual assault of a child.
