Waupaca, King & In Between organized the arts event

This year’s Chalk O’ the Town included a chalking event for youth.

The event was held on the city square on Aug. 13.

The winners in the Junior Division were Carson Wood (first place), Anna and Kyle Pulvermacher (second place) and Isabella Elandt and Chihiro Nishikaura (third place).

Nishikaura was among those visiting from Waupaca’s sister city in Japan.

In the Senior Division, the winners were Melessa Tohm (first place), Kate and Rylee (second place) and Lara Broderick (third place).

Organized by the retailers group Waupaca, King & In Between, the business sponsors for the event were 44 North, Passport Travel, Embellishments, Deb Domask, I & I Printing Center, Lucky Tree, Panache, Edward Jones, Hansen & Shambeau, Waupaca Community Arts Center, Full Service Insurance Agency, Shambeau & Thern Real Estate, Stern Insurance Agency, Main Street Marketplace, Evolutions 23, The Paint Store, Knight/Barry Title Services, The Sanctuary and Shelley Thomas.
Delicious Potato Chips provided the snacks.

Waupaca Middle School Band members, under the direction of Greg Biba and Shana Rogney, entertained the crowd.
