Waupaca boys’ soccer team loses nonconference game

Hortonville handed Waupaca a 4-3 loss Sept. 3 in a nonconference boys’ soccer game.

Evan Bolwerk scored twice for Waupaca, while Jon Quale had three goals for Hortonville.
Seth Boldt also found the net for the Comets.

Waupaca also opened North Eastern Conference play Sept. 1 by tying Marinette 4-4.

The Comets hosted St. Mary Catholic Sept. 8 in another nonconference matchup and will return to North Eastern play Thursday, Sept. 10, at Denmark. Waupaca will also head to Wausau for the Wausau West Invitational Saturday, Sept. 12.
