Project benefits I-S Elementary students

The Iola Lioness Club recently delivered 15 completely filled backpacks with school supplies to the Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School for the 2015-16 school year.

Lioness Lynn Myers, who chairs the project, delivered the backpacks to Megan Driebel, elementary school counselor.

“We are very appreciative of the Iola Lioness and their donation of backpacks and school supplies to students in our school district, Driebel said. “We feel very fortunate to have such great community involvement and support.”

This is one of many annual service projects for the Iola Lioness Club.

“We are so happy to be able to provide these backpacks to needy students in the I-S School District,” Myers said. “It is a much needed service that the Iola Lioness Club so willingly provides.”
