Jeanette “Jeane” M. Orr, age 89 of New London, formerly of the Town of Bear Creek, Waupaca County, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2015 from complications of Trigeminal Neuralgia at the Appleton Medical Center.

Jeane was born in Clintonville on March 17, 1926 as the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Huettl) Zehren. She attended St. Rose Grade School and graduated from Clintonville High School. Jeane was later united in marriage to Clifford L. Orr on January 8, 1944 in Clintonville. The couple farmed in the Town of Bear Creek for many years. During this time, Jeane worked for the Clintonville School District, the Locker Plant in Bear Creek, and for United Veterinary Services in Clintonville for many years as well as helping on the farm. She was also active in the community as a 4-H Leader and a member of the Homemaker’s Club. Jeane was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bear Creek. Her husband preceded her in death on May 21, 1997. In her spare time, Jeane enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, puzzles, lots of craftwork, and attending craft sales. She put lots of love into crocheting afghans for her 13 grandchildren, and teddy bear afghans for her great-grandchildren. Jeane loved all of her family dearly including her dog Sparky.

Survivors include: her children: Barbara (Mike) McClone, formerly of Appleton; Beth (Rich) Loehr, Pulaski; Joanne (John McGinty) Reinke, Bear Creek; Mary (Jim) Heling, Bear Creek; Patricia (Leon) Spiegelberg, Manawa; and Joseph (Milton) Orr, Appleton; grandchildren: Pam Malcheski, Jennifer (Ed) Zentmeyer, Mick (Shana) McClone, Bill (Elissa) McClone, Robert McClone, Shelly (Mike) McClone-Carriere, Mindy (Clint) Henning, Krista Heling, Rhonda (Mike) Schertz, Kandi (Joel) Schlueter, Len (Dar) Spiegelberg, Mandi Spiegelberg, and Anna Spiegelberg; great-grandchildren: Heather (Cody), Jacob, Matt, Anna, Leah, Abby, Megan, Sophie, Louie, Evelyn, Gus, Hunter, Kiara, Reed, Liam, Aidan, Esther, Caleb, Natalia, MaKenna, Malia, Olivia and Amelia; and great-great-granddaughter, Chloe. Also numerous other relatives and friends. Jeane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford, a brother Robert Zehren, a sister Delores Fandrey, son-in-law Michael Reinke, and her dog Sparky.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bear Creek with Rev. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will follow at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements. An online guestbook for Jeane can be found at www.eberhardtstevenson.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Jeane’s family.
