Contest winners announced

Weyauwega Fire Department selects top posters

“Hear The Beep Where You Sleep – Every Bedroom Needs A Working Smoke Alarm” was the theme of the 2015 Fire Prevention Poster Contest.

The Weyauwega Fire Department announced the local winners of the annual contest.

The first-place winners will now compete at the state level.

The first-grade winners are: Emma Epstein (first), Owen Luedtke (second), Hailey Hartjes (third) and Ava Schroeder (fourth). They are all students at Weyauwega Elementary School.

The second-grade winners are: Renee Buhrow (first), Ava Seater (second), Isaac Bernal (third) and Cevannah Bemowski (fourth). They are all students at Weyauwega Elementary.

The third-grade winners are: Addysen Mitchell (first) of St. Peter Lutheran School and Tellyer Alix (second), Cashten Hoffman (third) and Luke Duxbury (fourth), all of Weyauwega Elementary.

The fourth-grade winners are: Vanden Hoffman (first) and Lauren Feltz (second), both of Weyauwega Elementary, and Reed Curtis (third) and Hailey Wohlt (fourth), both of St. Peter Lutheran School.

The fifth-grade winners are: Madelyn Nehring (first) of Weyauwega Elementary and Eden Maranell (second), Jaydlynn Billington (third) and Shelby Hoewisch (fourth), all of St. Peter Lutheran School.
