Sharing some Christmas joy

A Waupaca boy decided to share his birthday gifts with other children.

On Wednesday, Dec. 23, officers with the Waupaca Police Department and the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office were asked to go to a home in Waupaca and speak with an 8-year-old boy.

When they arrived, the boy gave them three shopping bags full of new toys and games, each with a handwritten note.

The boy explained that his birthday is in December and he did not believe he needed all of the gifts he had received.

Instead, the boy asked the officers to find children who were less fortunate and give them a present from him. The boy hoped his gifts would make their Christmas a little better.

“Officers work holidays and are away from their families, but his gesture makes it all seem worth it,” according to Sgt. Kevin Studzinski, with the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
