Pickleball sign-up extended
Waupaca Parks and Rec sets new deadline
Those who want to participate in the new Pickleball League at the Waupaca Parks and Recreation Department now have until Friday, Jan. 29 to sign up for it.
Andrew Whitman, the city’s recreation program supervisor, said a men’s division is being added to the league, which is why the registration period is being extended.
The Monday night league will begin on Monday, Feb. 8.
The registration fee is $25 per person or $50 per team.
Pickleball is often described as a combination of badminton, tennis and ping-pong.
The Pickleball League is one of two new activities for adults that Park and Rec is beginning this year.
