Lakes group to host program on restoration
The Friends of Mirror Shadow Lakes will host a Natural Beauty Shoreline Tour on Saturday, Sept. 10.
The tour will start at the Shadow Lake Retreat, 150 Shadow Lake Drive, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Coffee and lemonade will be served.
The public is invited.
Three recent shoreline restoration and protection projects on Shadow Lake will be featured and discussed by the consultants who designed and installed them.
Jon Gumtow, of Stantec, will talk about the lower level South Park restoration, which was planted in 2015.
Nick Homan, of Lakescape Solutions LLC, will discuss two smaller projects, which were completed in early 2016.
Weather permitting, those in attendance will tour each project from the lake by pontoon boat.
