Library showing Hitchock classic

First Thursday Film Series in Waupaca

Alfred Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest” will be screened at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Waupaca Area Public Library.

Dr. Jack Rhodes will introduce the movie, which is part of the library’s popular First Thursday Film Series.

Cary Grant stars in this exciting tale of of mistaken identity, murder and Cold War espionage.

Also in the strong supporting cast are Eva Marie Saint, James Mason, Leo G. Carroll and Martin Landau.

The movie will be shown this month in homage to its scenes involving Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. The national monument will celebrate 75 years since its dedication on Oct. 31, 1941.

Complimentary popcorn, soft drinks and theater treats will be available.
