Brazil, Robert K.

Robert K. Brazil, age 84, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Appleton.

He was born on January 24, 1933 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of the late Leon and Marianna “Betty” (Braun) Brazil. Bob served his country in the US Army for two years during the Korean Conflict. On June 25, 1957, Bob married Marian Ebert at Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield. He then worked at American Can for 29½ years before retiring in 1995. Bob also worked for the Wega Dairy Bar, Fox Tractor and Pluswood in Oshkosh for many years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and the Wolf River American Legion Post 391 in Fremont, where he was a former commander and member of the firing squad. He enjoyed doing woodcrafting, fishing and hunting.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marian; three sons, Bryan (Linda), Fremont; Kevin (Anna), Weyauwega and Keith, Fremont; nine grandchildren, Joseph (Cheryl), Ethan, Kyle, Aaron, Daniel (Sam), Heather (Chad), Brittany, Jennifer, and Kayla; five great-grandchildren, Addison, Cameron, Bentley, Sophia and Chloe; brothers, Elroy, Oshkosh; Richard (Rose), FL; Arden (Lora), WA; Dale (Rose), Winchester, Laurel (Marsha), CA, and Peter (Kathy), Greenville; three sisters-in-law, Betty Brazil, Fremont; Vera Fraederich, Weyauwega and Clara Ebert VA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, N6412 State Rd 49, Weyauwega. Pastor John Taggatz will officiate. Burial with full military rites will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday, at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Christ Lutheran Church, Concordia Cemetery and St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
