A warrant was issued for the arrest of a Manawa man.
Ralph C. Petersen Jr., 40, is charged with a fourth drunken driving offense and operating after revocation
.
At 11:14 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, Manawa Police Officer Clint Schroeder was traveling southbound on South Bridge Street when he ran a records check on a vehicle.
The plate number came back as belonging to a car registered to Petersen, whose license was revoked.
Schroeder made a traffic stop and reported Peterson had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol.
According to the criminal complaint, Petersen said, “I am not going to lie to you officer. I am drunk.”
Petersen failed to make his first court appearance on Sept. 12. A warrant for his arrest was issued two days later.
As of Sept. 27, he remains at large.
