Waupaca senior shoots 82 ,87

Markie Ash wrapped up her high school golf career at the WIAA Girls’ State Golf Championships by tying for 25th place in Division 1.
The Waupaca senior followed up her opening round of 82 with an 87 Oct. 10 at Verona’s University Ridge Golf Course.
Ash was one of 18 Division 1 individual qualifiers for the meet. Twelve teams also competed.
Arrowhead won the Division 1 team championship with a two-day round of 630, while Milton’s Mia Seeman turned in rounds of 71 and 74 to win the individual title.
Fox Valley Lutheran, which shared the North Eastern Conference championship with Waupaca this season, finished third in Division 2 behind Aquinas and Edgewood. FVL’s Erika Priebe won the Division 2 individual championship with two rounds of 80.
