Man faces new charges

A Waupaca man on deferred prosecution for a felony charge was arrested again.

Tyler J. Pellerino, 20, is charged with felony bail jumping and misdemeanor sex with a child age 16 or older.

On Jan. 5, Sgt. John Helgeson, with the Waupaca Police Department, was advised of a possible child porn case.

Pellerino’s probation agent had seen a photo of a young female on Pellerino’s cell phone. When the agent asked who she was, Pellerino identified her as a 16-year-old Waupaca girl.

The girl told Helgeson that Pellerino had sex with her once, at her home, on Dec. 31, 2017.

On Nov. 22, 2017, Pellerino was convicted of misdemeanor theft. He also entered a deferred prosecution agreement on a felony charge of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Terms of the agreement included that he participate in drug treatment and comply with the rules of the drug court.

On Jan. 3, Pellerino appeared in court and admitted to missing two treatment sessions.

On Jan. 10, Pellerino appeared in court and admitted to being arrested twice in the past week.

He is currently in custody.
