Karla Kristine Amador, age 85, of Manawa, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.
She was born on May 29, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Andrew and Karla (Jorgenson) Jensen. Karla graduated from Little Wolf High School. She married Roy Thomack, and following his death, she then married Ben Amador, who also preceded her in death. She was the Royalton Post Master for a number of years. Karla owned and operated the Nutrition Center in New London with her husband Ben. She then retired from the Waupaca County Solid Waste & Recycling facility in Manawa.
She is survived by her children: Roy Amador (Barb), Tina (Dan) Scheid, Terrie (Carl) Hansen and Tammy Williams (Russ); 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son Ron Amador, and daughters-in-law, Becky Amador and Terri Amador.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the Union Still & Grill (E6426 Symco Road) in Symco. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Bethany Home Alzheimer’s Unit (1226 Berlin St. Waupaca, WI 54981). The Cline Hanson Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa is serving the family.
