High-speed chase ends in crash

Police arrested a driver after pursuing him more than five miles.

Anthony L. Luckow, 33, Clintonville, is charged with felony fleeing an officer.

He was also cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control, operating a vehicle without insurance and unreasonable speed.

On Thursday, April 26, Waupaca Police Officer Tom Grant ran a records check of a car parked on the 1000 block of Ware Street.

The registration came back as expired and belonging to Luckow, who had an active warrant from Outagamie County for failing to appear in court.

According to the criminal complaint, Clintonville police reported Luckow sent a message to his child’s mother that he would rather eat a bullet than go to jail for failing to pay child support. He also posted a photo of himself holding a gun.

Grant followed the vehicle from Ware Street to County Trunk K, where it accelerated to 95 mph, the complaint says.

Luckow crashed the vehicle into a ditch at Elandt Road and County K.

Luckow is currently in custody in Outagamie County, where he is being held for contempt of court.
