By Erik Buchinger

New London boys’ golfer Dylan Leahy will advance to sectionals following his performance at Mascoutin Golf Course on Tuesday, May 22.

The top four teams advanced to sectionals, but Leahy was an individual qualifier after shooting an 80 to finish in second place.

New London’s Shane Huffman shot a 98 for 31st place, and Ben Porath finished 35th with a 100 score.

Aaron Schulz shot a 107 for 41st place, and Evan Dalhoe finished in a tie for 42nd place with a 108.

The Bulldogs finished in a tie for seventh as a team.

Leahy will compete at the Ripon Sectional at Lawsonia Links on Green Lake on Tuesday, May 29.

Hortonville

Three Hortonville golfers came one stroke away from advancing to sectionals at Reid Golf Course in Appleton on Tuesday, May 22.

Hortonville finished sixth as a team, but the top four individuals on non-qualifying teams also moved on to sectionals individually. Three Polar Bear golfers came up short.

The fourth place finisher not on a top four team shot an 80, and Hortonville’s Brandon Conger, Lucas Van Handel and Dillon Fox all finished with final scores of 81.

Polar Bear golfer Keaton Cottrell shot an 83, and Carter Kundinger finished with an 86.

Clintonville

The Truckers finished in ninth place in their regional at Golden Sands Golf Course in Cecil.

Clintonville’s top golfers were Cameron Zeinert and Jarrett Colla, who both shot a 95 and finished in 23rd place.

Jack Goerlinger shot a 106 for 32nd place, while Wolfgang Stueck and Ryan Krieser both shot a 108 for 36th place.
