Waupaca hosted its first taste of summer Saturday, June 16, with Strawberry Fest.
Harlow Gurholt and Oliver Mitchell, both age 3, were named Lil’ Strawberry Sally and Lil’ Strawberry Sam in the annual costume contest co-sponsored by First State Bank and Sunny Day Child Care and Preschool.
Cole Andres, the youth pastor at First Assembly of God in Waupaca, won the strawberry shortcake eating contest.
Vendors and musicians provided a day of festivities in downtown Waupaca.
