Waupaca County sheriff’s report Oct. 8

• Oct. 7 – Caller from Partidge House in New London reported a man was outside the building in a parked car, refusing to leave unless a woman there came outside to speak with him or the police came to arrest him.

• Oct. 7 – Staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King reported helping a 63-year-old resident search his bedroom for his lost wallet and finding marijuana instead.

• Oct. 7 – Two calls came from the 600 block of East Beacon Avenue, New London, reported neighbors were screaming and yelling at each other.

• Oct. 6 – A Waupaca caller reported shortly before 4 a.m. that a group of people were walking westbound in the slow lane of U.S. Highway 10.

• Oct. 6 – The Buss Stop, Wolf River Drive, Fremont, reported some patrons were fighting.

• Oct. 6 – A New London caller reported seeing two men go into the school forest carrying guns. He suspected they were hunting.

• Oct. 6 – Caller from the 500 block of Union Street, Manawa, reported losing her purse, in which she had $300 in cash, a cellphone and debit card.

• Oct. 5 – A theft was reported on the E1800 block of Amy St., Waupaca.

• Oct. 5 – Rawhide Boys Ranch, New London, reported a student assaulted staff and damaged property. Requested an officer.
• Oct. 5 – Caller from E2000 block of Waletta Driver, Waupaca, reported someone stole two game cameras.

• Oct. 5 – Caller from the 900 block of Royalton Street, asked to speak to an officer about his neighbor’s security cameras facing the caller’s property.

• Oct. 5 – Fleet Farm, Waupaca, reported a woman stole some merchandise.

• Oct. 5 – Nelson’s Shell, Churchill Street, Waupaca, reported a semi knocked down their fence, then drove away.

• Oct. 4 – Caller from the 700 block of Seventh Street, Waupaca, reported someone used his Social Security number to open a credit card account in his name.

• Oct. 4 – Caller from the 700 block of High Street, Waupaca, reported two youth in the back of a greenish pickup truck threw a pumpkin and hit his mailbox.

• Oct. 3 – Caller from the 300 block of North Division Street, Waupaca, reported the school called him and said his son’s mother would pick up his son. The caller said he was with the mother all day and neither of them ever called the school.

• Oct. 3 – Caller from the 1000 block of East Royalton Street, Waupaca, reported two campaign signs were stolen and another one vandalized.

• Oct. 3 – Caller from the E5600 block of Waukaunaka Street, Weyauwega, reported he allowed a female friend to borrow his 2016 Chevy Malibu, and she did not return it and has ignored his messages.

• Oct. 3 – Caller from County Trunk B, New London, reported someone posted a nude photo of her on Facebook.

• Oct. 3 – Cellphone caller reported seeing two youth break into a gas station on State Highway 49 in Iola.

• Oct. 2 – Caller from Sandbur Corners, County Trunk E, Ogdensburg, reported a $105 gas drive-off. After pumping the gas, the driver went into the shop and said he would come back with the money, but he never returned.

• Oct. 2 – Fremont Laundromat, Franklin Street, Fremont, reported someone broke into the building, then broke into the change machine and stole money.

Traffic
A motorcycle operator was seriously injured by a crash at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.

According to the accident report, Adam M. Schamber, 36, Clintonville, was traveling southbound on County Trunk Y. north of Behnke Road in Matteson, when he failed to negotiate a curve and went into the ditch.

He was taken by ambulance to ThedaCare in Neenah.
