Woman charged with theft

The suspect out on bail when she was arrested.

Tiffany L. Fronczak, 25, Weyauwega, is charged with theft in a business setting as party to a crime and two counts of felony bail jumping.

She has also been charged as a repeat offender, which could add up to two years to her sentence if she is convicted.

On Nov. 14, surveillance video at a restaurant in Waupaca appeared to show Fronczak removing money from a cash register and giving it to Delton E. Schmoldt, who was seen on the video arguing with her earlier.

According to the criminal complaint, Schmoldt gave Fronczak four bills which she placed on the far right side of the register’s drawer. She then allegedly took out several bills from the far left side of the drawer and handed those to Schmoldt.

Police say the right side of the cash register drawer held $1 bills, while the left side held $20 bills.

The drawer was short $96 at the end of Fronczak’s shift, the complaint says.

Fronczak allegedly sent a text message to another employee about needing to borrow money to give to Schmoldt.

As of Dec. 12, prosecutors have not filed charges against Schmoldt as a result of the incident.

On Jan. 11, Schmoldt was charged with possession of methamphetamine and is scheduled for a plea/sentencing hearing on April 29, 2019.

Fronczak had two prior felony cases when she was accused of stealing from her employer.

On Jan. 26, she was charged with possession of narcotics and released from custody after posting a $500 cash bond.

On Feb. 14, she was charged with felony theft and released after posting a $3,000 cash bond.

She was summoned to appear in court on Dec. 19 for the most recent charges.
