Waupaca County sheriff’s report Jan. 14

• Jan. 14 – Caller from Rohrer Street, Clintonville, reported a gas leak. The family evacuated the house.

• Jan. 13 – Caller from the 400 block of East Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported her friend was in bed and not breathing. Then she said he just sat up and admitted to playing a joke on her. She was heard over the phone yelling at him.

• Jan. 13 – Caller from the 400 block of West Main Street, Weyauwega, reported someone damaged her front door in an attempt to break into her home.

• Jan. 12 – Caller from the N5300 block of Oak Road, town of Little Wolf, reported she ran out of propane and needs $600 to fill the tank. She said small children live in the house.

• Jan. 12 – Ramada, Grand Seasons Drive, Waupaca, reported an intoxicated, unruly guest who poured lots of liquid soap into the hot tub, rented the room under an assumed name, then refused to give his real name, and repeatedly called the front desk asking for someone to bring him drinks.

• Jan. 12 – Caller from 400 block of Division Street, Iola, reported her ex-boyfriend is taking her 2-month-old daughter. She said they both had been drinking.

• Jan. 12 – Cellphone caller said he was walking along Badger Street near downtown Waupaca when he heard a man yelling, a woman scream and a loud thud.

• Jan 12 – Weyauwega man reported finding a driver’s license and a debit card in front of JK’s Lounge and Restaurant in Weyauwega.

• Jan. 11 – Caller from King Olav’s Lane, Iola, reported having issues with his daughter. Communications officers reported hearing screaming in the background.

• Jan. 11 – Appleton staffing agency reported it had arranged a job interview for a 25-year-old Waupaca man, but the company called and said it was not interested. The applicant texted the agency and said he had no reason to live and would hang himself.

• Jan. 11 – Caller from the 500 block of Bailey Street, Waupaca, reported her Social Security number was used and it came back to the address of her ex-husband.

• Jan. 11 – Caller from North Street, Waupaca, reported her daughter had been acting psychotic for more than an hour.

• Jan. 11 – Caller from the 100 block of May Street, Waupaca, reported his neighbor came over and said her boyfriend was being disorderly. The neighbor told the communications officer her fiance was destroying her home and had smashed her phone, which was why she needed to use her neighbor’s phone.

• Jan. 10 – Weyauwega Cenex, North Mill Street, Weyauwega, reported finding a counterfeit $100 bill in the parking lot.

• Jan. 10 – Caller from the N9700 block of Baerenwald Road, Clintonville, reported his neighbor came to his apartment uninvited and when he attempted to remove her, she choked him.

• Jan. 9 – Caller from Rural Road, Waupaca, reported he gave his Social Security number to a scammer over the phone.

• Jan. 9 – Waupaca Rec Center, School Street, Waupaca, reported a fight broke out between two boys. One of them told police the other was blackmailing a 12-year-old girl with nude photos.

• Jan. 8 – Caller from E7700 block of Weiland Road, New London, reported that when she turned on her computer, a message flashed across her screen that her computer had a virus. She called a phone number on the screen and was told to get Google gift cards to pay for repairing the computer.

• Jan. 8 – Caller from the E5900 block of Evanswood Road, Weyauwega, reported his dog brought home a bone that appeared to be a human foot, The DNR was contacted.

• Jan. 7 – Weyauwega caller reported her 66-year-old mother was scammed out of $15,000.

• Jan. 7 – Weyauwega caller reported a wallet with $20 cash and ID was stolen from her aunt’s parked vehicle.

• Jan. 7 – Caller from the 700 block of LeRoy Butler Drive, Waupaca, reported her teenage daughter did not come home the previous night, then told her that morning she did not want to live with her. She asked that an officer meet her and her daughter at the high school.
