Police make domestic abuse arrest

Woman told 911, ‘He’s going to kill me’

Jeremy L. Leurquin, 32, Waupaca, is charged with felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct as acts of domestic abuse.

At 1:10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, Waupaca Police Officer Dan Wasrud responded to a home on Stone Ridge Road, Waupaca.

Dispatch reported there was a woman yelling, “He’s going to kill me,” and that Leurquin had attacked her and her mouth was bleeding.

When Wasrud arrived, the woman told him Leurquin had been drinking. They began arguing, and Leurquin said he was going to kill her.

According to the criminal complaint, Leurquin placed his hand over the woman’s nose and mouth, causing her teeth to cut her lip.

The woman accused Leurquin of pushing her down on the sofa and placing his hand around her throat.

She said when she went outside and called 911, Leurquin allegedly pushed her down in the snow.

Wasrud reported the woman’s mouth was bleeding and she had snow in her clothes and hair.

Officer Brent Wittman reported that Leurquin was visibly intoxicated and said he drank about eight 16-oz cans of beer and two bottles of beer.

Leurquin accused the woman of becoming angry after she discovered two bottles of beer were missing from her six-pack in the refrigerator.

He said she yelled at him and grabbed him by the shirt, so he pushed her away, according to the complaint.

On Aug. 24, 2018, Leurquin was charged in Portage County with a fourth OWI and released after posting a $1,000 cash bond.

He was released from custody in Waupaca County after posting a $1,000 cash bond.
