Waupaca boys finish second

Weyauwega-Fremont and New London’s track teams have dominated the Waupaca County Meet in recent years.
That trend continued April 27, as the teams won girls’ and boys’ championship, respectively, for the third year in a row.
Weyauwega-Fremont, which made it four straight girls’ championships at the meet, won the girls’ competition with 177 points, followed by Clintonville (158.5), Manawa (123), New London (102.5), Iola-Scandinavia (44.5), Waupaca (32.5) and Marion (17).
The Bulldogs claimed their third boys’ title with 196.5 points, followed by Waupaca (147.5), Manawa (116.5), Weyauwega-Fremont (89), Clintonville (60.5) and Iola-Scandinavia (51).
First-place finishes for the boys’ and girls’ respectively, are:
100-meter dash: Bo Koehn, Manawa (11.6); Aspen Linjer, Manawa (12.7).

100-meter hurdles: Allysin Booth, Clintonville (16.57).
