Drug bust follows traffic stop

Police find meth, marijuana in suspect’s car

Aaron R. Baylous, 47, Menasha, is charged with counts of possession of methamphetamine, narcotics, controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He is also charged with a third offense of operating while intoxicated.

On June 18, Weyauwega Police Officer Justin Malueg stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 10 near Little River Road.

According to the criminal complaint, the vehicle’s registration had expired and the driver, Baylous, had no proof of insurance and was not wearing his seat belt.

Waupaca County deputies Clint Schroeder and Matt Whitaker arrived to assist.

The officers searched Baylous’ vehicle and person.

They reported finding 2 grams of meth, 57 grams of pot, both used and new syringes, including one that was loaded, 14 prescription pills, four cellphones and $355 in cash.

Baylous was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond.
