Hajek, RoseMarie

RoseMarie Hajek left this world surrounded by the love of family and faith. Our mother taught us what true love looks like in a mother’s eyes and arms. Her children came first above all else. She gave us the love of good food, of music and dancing, of travel and nature. “Gypsy blood” is what she said she had. Her passion for cooking delicious and nutritious meals provided us with a diverse palette as she delighted in making family traditions as well as trying new recipes. Holidays would lend themselves to much planning and preparation to create the perfect meal for the family she loved so much. And, if you left the table hungry it was your own fault because there was always plenty! Rose’s friends loved her for her beautiful heart, an ear always ready to listen, shoulders strong enough to help them bear their burdens as well as share in their joy and laughter. A devoted wife and life partner, rarely did you see RoseMarie (“Babe”) without Irv “Frank” at her side. Many adventures were had and wonderful stories and laughter shared (“You Stallone?”) when they finally found time in life to travel. Off they went exploring out of the way islands, bringing home treasures to reminisce and talk about their escapades. Their house on the lake was her pride and joy and everywhere you looked her personal touch was unmistakable. Lifetimes of love is what the two of them shared and will continue on.

There’s no replacing you, Mama. And, life will forever be changed.

RoseMarie will be dearly missed by her husband, Irv “Frank” of Waupaca; children: Valarie (Tom) Adams of Pine River, Clifford Hajek of Waupaca, and Richard (Debra) Hajek of Bonita Springs, FL; sister, Dolores Ulrich of Fox Grove, IL; sister-in-law, Frances Vogel and brother-in-law, Roland Hajek Jr., both of Mt. Prospect, IL.

A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 12 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church of Waupaca. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will follow Mass in the parish cemetery. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
