Event starts, ends at South Park

Results are in from the 19th annual Waupaca Area Triathlon.
Complete long and short course results from the triathlon, held Aug. 17, can be found at www.waupacaareatriathlon.com.
Lance Douglas of Madison and Elaina Biechler of Dubuque, Iowa, turned in the fastest male and female times in the long course.
Douglas completed the 800-meter swim, 20-1-mile bike ride and 3.1-mile run in 1:22.33, while Biechler crossed the finish line in South Park in 1:31.51.
The short course included a 400-meter swim, a 12.5-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run. Mike Pierson of Green Bay turned in the fastest time among males in 55:19, while Stacy Gille of Green Bay turned in a time of 1:01.09.
The long course had 247 finishers (148 males and 99 females), while the short course had 235 finishers (101 males and 134 females).
