Clintonville gets $48,000

Disaster aid to help pay for street repairs

By Bert Lehman

City Administrator Sharon Eveland told the city council at its Oct. 8 meeting that Clintonville will receive nearly $48,000 from Wisconsin Disaster Aid.

The funds are to cover some of the cost of the damage March rain and ice storms caused to city streets.

The total amount of damage from the storms was around $68,000.

“I do want to make you guys aware that Justin Jaeger, our street foreman, is really kind of the saving grace on getting everything put together for this,” Eveland said. “Without him, I would not have been able to put everything together. He’s really helped out.”

As previously reported in the Clintonville Tribune-Gazette, the city had previously applied for the funds to cover some of the costs to repair the damage to 15th Street, East Madison Street, Lyons Street, Enterprise Street and Waupaca Street in the March storms.
