Season over for Iola-Scandy volleyball team

The season has ended for the Iola-Scandinavia volleyball team.
The Thunderbirds dropped three of five games to Amherst Oct. 22 in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal.
The Falcons opened the match with 25=21 and 25-14 wins, but the T-Birds forced a fifth set with 25-19 and 25-16 wins.
Amherst then ended the match with a 15-12 win.
Amherst, a No. 7 seed in the WIAA state tournament, advanced to a regional semifinal match in Oshkosh Thursday, Oct. 24, against second-seeded Lourdes Academy.
The T-Birds were seeded 10th.
