James “Jimmy D” Denson of Waupaca, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
He was born in Wheaton, IL on May 13, 1949 to the late Ernest and Ruth (Rieser) Denson. Jim was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the Army. He owned and operated D & H Sealcoating. He retired from the Wisconsin Veterans Home, working in maintenance and then worked part-time at Pick N Save. He was an avid Cubs Fan. He enjoyed golfing, nature and volunteering. He volunteered at the Episcopal Church, helping them with gardening. He was also a good neighbor helping others with mowing lawn and snow blowing.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dianna; children: Michael (Corey) Siegler, Jamie Chambers, Christopher Siegler, Stephanie Denson and Nicholas (Katie) Denson; sisters, JoAnn (Gary) Smith and Diane (Jim) Hawkins; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David and Bobby and a sister, Barb.
The Memorial Service will be on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to them. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
