Clintonville defeats FVL

A 15-point first half hurt the Clintonville boys’ basketball team Jan. 31 in its North Eastern Conference matchup with Luxemburg-Casco.

The Truckers ended up outscoring the Spartans 38-29 in the second half, but trailed 39-15 at halftime and couldn’t make up the deficit and ended up on the short end of a 68-53 score.

Clintonville also picked up a 55-41 win over Fox Valley Lutheran Jan. 28.

Lux-Casco 68, Clintonville 53

Ryan Robillard scored 21 points to lead the Spartans over the Truckers.

Clintonville 55, FVL 41

Clintonville led 28-18 at halftime and added to its lead with a 27-23 advantage in the second half.

Aiden Polzin led the Truckers and all scorers with 22 points.

The Trucker are now 8-4 in the North Eastern standings.

Clintonville wrapped up nonconference play at home Feb. 4 against Wittenberg-Birnamwood and will return to conference play at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at home against Wrightstown.
