Home court was not an advantage for the Manawa girls’ basketball team Feb. 6 in its Central Wisconsin Conference matchup with Wittenberg-Birnamwood.

The Chargers took a 40-7 lead into halftime and went on to hand the Wolves a 67-21 loss.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Emma Herb led all scorers with 26 points. Grace Johnson and Kaitlyn Miller led Manawa with six points each, while Miller grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

The Wolves returned to CWC North Division play Feb. 11 in Keshena against Menominee Indian and will travel to Northland Lutheran in Kronenwetter Friday, Feb. 14, for a 7:30 p.m. game.
