Commemoration held at post

Not even COVID-19 could keep a local VFW post from holding its annual Memorial Day service.

More than 50 people – including several veterans and their families – showed up May 25 at VFW Post 1037’s hall on Waupaca’s east side.

Post officials had originally intended to hold the service at its usual downtown Waupaca location, but decided to move it to the hall, where it was held outdoors.
