On September 13, 1960, Toni was united in marriage to Israel “Joe” Acevedo Sr. at Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission, TX. As husband and wife, the couple settled in Bear Creek, where they raised ten beautiful children. A homemaker first, Toni was always present in the lives of her husband and children. She often showed her love and appreciation to family, friends, and animals of all kinds. She was preceded in death by her husband on September 21, 2015. Toni was an active member of Calvary Apostolic Church, Clintonville, where she joined in singing and praising God. Her deep faith was always an encouragement to others. Her interests included traveling to different states around the country, making her famous tortillas from scratch, and staying active with her many grandchildren. Toni was a true matriarch of the Acevedo family. She had a warm and loving presence and “silent strength” inside of her. She always offered her assistance to others, regardless of how difficult the task. Toni enjoyed writing letters and gifting cards to stay connected with everyone. Most of all, she will forever be remembered as a humble and genuine person who always loved spending time with her family.
