Rosa reopens Thursday

Waupaca movie theater has been closed for months

The Rosa Theater in downtown Waupaca will reopen Thursday, Sept. 3.

“We understand that some of you may not be comfortable coming back immediately but know we will do everything possible to make the movie going experience a safe one,” according to a post on the Rosa’s Facebook page.

Among its health safety precautions, the theater will offer limited capacity, social distancing and require masks.

Moviegoers will be required to wear masks, but they may be removed once a customer is seated.

To encourage social distancing, the theater is only seating every other row and keeping two seats between unrelated parties.

Customers will exit through the auditorium doors and not through the lobby area.

The Rosa will no longer offer refills on soda or popcorn tubs to reduce high-touch points.
