Opener slated for Sept. 25 in Marshfield

A six-team Valley Football Association means the Hortonville football team will have only five games this season.
The Polar Bears are scheduled to open the season at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at Marshfield and will have three home games.
The VFA also includes D.C. Everest, Wausau East, Wausau West and Wisconsin Rapids.
Two other teams – Appleton West and Stevens Point – opted to play their season next spring.

Week 1
Friday, Sept. 25: Hortonville at Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids at D.C. Everest, Wausau East at Wausau West.
Week 2
Friday, Oct. 2: Wausau West at Hortonville, Wisconsin Rapids at Marshfield, D.C. Everest at Wausau East.
Week 3
Friday, Oct. 9: Hortonville at Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield at Wausau East, Wausau West at D.C. Everest.
Week 4
Friday, Oct. 16: D.C. Everest at Hortonville, Marshfield at Wausau West, Wausau East at Wis. Rapids.
Week 5
Friday, Oct. 23: Wausau East at Hortonville, Wausau West at Wisconsin Rapids, D.C. Everest at Marshfield.
