Waupaca now going to Freedom

Several changes have been announced for the Friday, Oct. 2, football schedule for area high school teams.
Waupaca will now travel to Freedom to face the Irish at 7 p.m. The Comets were originally scheduled to play a Bay Conference game at New London, but that game was canceled after New London switched to virtual learning. Waupaca then scheduled a game at Winneconne, but that game was also called off.
Weyauwega-Fremont’s Central Wisconsin Conference-Large game at Wittenberg-Birnamwood has also been canceled, as well as Clintonville’s Packerland Conference game at Peshtigo.
Games still on the schedule besides Waupaca at Freedom include Amherst at Manawa, Iola-Scandinavia at Rosholt and Hortonville at Wisconsin Rapids.
