ThedaCare extends mobile testing

Free covid testing in Waupaca, New London

For nearly two weeks, ThedaCare has been coordinating mobile testing sites in the rural communities it serves.

Originally scheduled to conclude on Nov. 16, the mobile testing site schedule has now been extended to offer testing to additional community members.

Testing will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on:

• Monday, Nov. 16, at ThedaCare Medical Center-New London.

• Wednesday, Nov. 18, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca.

• Monday, Nov. 23, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca.

• Tuesday, Nov. 24, at ThedaCare Medical Center-New London.

The drive-thru testing is free and available to all community members experiencing symptoms, those who believe they may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and anyone worried about possibly having the virus.

Though appointments are not required, they are recommended.

Individuals may preregister online at doineedacovid19test.com or register onsite.

People do not need to be a ThedaCare patient to receive a test.

Those seeking testing do not need to be a resident of the community where these testing sites are located.

Individuals under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to consent to testing.

Results will be given online, or through a phone call if necessary.

In addition to the mobile testing sites in rural communities, the federal COVID-19 surge testing site at ThedaCare Physicians-Neenah continues to operate.

Testing is free.

Individuals may make an appointment at doineedacovid19test.com or register onsite.

Since Nov. 4, ThedaCare teams have conducted hundreds of tests at various locations in Northeast and Central Wisconsin.

ThedaCare leaders have reiterated that to best manage community spread of COVID-19, testing and contact tracing are critical.

Testing gives health systems insight to the breadth and depth of those infected in the communities, and helps them have a better understanding about the spread of the virus.
