Toys for Tots drive underway

Several collection sites in Iola-Scandinavia area

Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative has kicked off its annual Toys for Tots drive.

The CWEC office at 10401 Lystal Road, Rosholt, is one of several drop-off locations in the Iola-Scandinavia area.

The drive will continue through Friday, Dec. 4, and provides toys to needy children in Waupaca, Portage, Shawano and Marathon counties.

Communities covered include Iola, Scandinavia and Manawa (Waupaca County); Amherst and Rosholt (Portage County); Tigerton and Bowler (Shawano County); and Wittenberg and Birnamwood (Marathon County).

Last year’s drive collected 3,400 toys that were distributed to 1,080 children.

Besides the CWEC office, other drop-off locations in Iola and Scandinavia area are:

• BankFirst, 295 E. State St., Iola.

• Premier Community Bank, 505 E. State St., Iola.

• Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School, 450 E. Division St., Iola.

• Iola-Scandinavia High School, 540 S. Jackson St., Iola.

• Iola-Scandinavia Community Fitness & Aquatic Center, 445 S. Jackson St., Iola.

• Iola Village Library, 180 S. Main St., Iola.

• Silver Lake Lanes, N6311 State Highway 49, Scandinavia.
