Terry James Wilson, age 74, passed away on January 10, 2021.
He was born March 22, 1946 in Detroit, MI. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, his Canadian fishing trips, woodworking, gardening (he tried to have the best yard around, and he succeeded), card games with friends, and time in the lake with family. Terry graduated from Taylor Center High School, Taylor, MI, in 1964. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Pastoral Studies from North Central Bible College, Minneapolis, MN, in 1969 and a degree of Master of Divinity from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Minneapolis, 1973. Terry pastored churches in Cambridge, MN; Lodi, WI; and Kingsford, MI; and served as Camp Administrator at Spencer Lake Christian Center, Waupaca, WI, until retirement.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sharilyn, of Waupaca; his son Jerad (Denise) of Collinsville, OK; his daughter Cherise (John) Sitcler of Appleton, WI; his grandchildren: Emma (Josiah) Mayo; Judah Sitcler; Tatiana, Haleigh, and Trenton Wilson; his nephew, Todd (Rita) Wilson; as well as many other family and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn Wilson, and his brother, Paul Wilson.
Rev. John Sitcler will officiate the funeral at Waupaca First Assembly of God on Saturday, January 30, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m and Saturday, January 30, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Waupaca First Assembly of God. Burial will follow immediately after the funeral at Spencer Lake Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family. The Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
