Teen charged with child abuse

Suspect accuses alleged victim of stealing her bong

Arienna L. Sura, 17, Clintonville, is charged with felony child abuse, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Jan. 19, Clintonville Police Chief Craig Freitag responded to a complaint on Anne Street.

He met with the homeowner, who accused Sura of smashing a living room window.

Both the interior and exterior glass panes were shattered.

Shardes of glass were on the living room floor.

The homeowner said he heard Sura outside the house screaming and yelling.

When she saw him through the window, she “flipped him off,” according to the criminal complaint.

Sura then allegedly walked into the man’s home and began pushing her way toward the basement.

When the homeowner and a 14-year-old boy tried to hold her back, Sura allegedly bit the boy in the chest.

The man and the boy were able to force Sura out of the house.

Later, she broke the window with a shovel, and then left.

Freitag went to Sura’s home, where he spoke with her mother.

According to the criminal complaint, the mother said, regarding Sura, “All she does is smoke weed and marijuana vapes.”

Freitag reported finding a water bong and a glass pipe.

In a written statement, Sura accused the boy of stealing her “bong and torch.”

She said she went to his house to retrieve her belongings.

Sura faces up to six years in prison if convicted of felony child abuse.
