Everts, Rose A.

Rose A. Everts, age 85, of Bear Creek passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Aster Assisted Living in Clintonville.

Rose Ann Ehm was born on June 11, 1935 in Appleton to William and Augusta (Gruber) Ehm. She grew up in the Greenville area and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Menasha. Rose went on to Kaukauna Normal School for a teaching degree. She taught for several years at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Appleton. She was united in marriage on August 1, 1959 to Kenneth R. Everts at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville. The couple lived for a short time in New London and then moved to Hortonville where they lived for close to 15 years. In the mid 1970s, Rose and Ken settled in Bear Creek. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Rose was a woman of faith, prayer and service. She volunteered teaching religious education classes for a number of years as well as regularly making rosaries and obtaining items to send to the missions. She loved to garden and share her harvest with others. She always enjoyed singing and taking care of her family. For more than 40 years, Rose greatly enjoyed watching – and even “coaching” – her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, especially baseball games. She will be remembered most for her deep Catholic faith and sharing it with others. Rose was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Ken, and eleven children: Jeff Everts of Albuquerque, NM, Bruce Everts of Indianapolis, IN, Randy (Tana) Everts of Hartford, WI, Julie (Ron) Koepke of Freedom, WI, Tom Everts of Clinton, WI, Steve (Becky) Everts of Greenville, WI, Marcia (Serge Koenig) Everts of Baraboo, WI, Fr. She is further survived by one brother, Jerome (Patti) Ehm; a sister, Sr. Mary Regine (Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi); a longtime “adopted son”, George Fields and family; and many other relatives and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Mary Thomas; and two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Ehm.
