Debra “Debbie” Mehlberg, age 63, of Clintonville, WI passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at Evergreen Care Center, Shawano.
Debra Jo Mehlberg was born on July 26, 1957 at Clintonville Hospital to Lester and Caroldean (Boehler) Mehlberg. She grew up in Caroline and graduated from Marion High School in 1975. She met the love of her life, Vernon J. Lorge, and the couple shared over 35 wonderful years. They were always there for each other and they were good together. Vernon preceded her in death on March 2, 2014. Debbie was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. She was a faithful prayer warrior often for her family and friends. Debbie enjoyed creating latch hook rug projects; and painting furniture and bird houses. She really enjoyed her mom’s friendship, calling her mom almost every day. Debbie was truly a kind person, appreciated good humor, and never complained.
Survivors include her mother, Caroldean Mehlberg of Caroline; one brother, Ralph (Lori) Mehlberg of Clintonville; and two sisters, Jean (Kerry) Fisher of Clintonville and Joanne (Rich Mueller) Mattes of Iola. There are eight nieces and nephews: Madison Mehlberg, Kelsey Mehlberg, Nick Fisher and his fiancée Hailey, Max Fisher, Mike Fisher and Ali, Ethan Fisher, Robert (Laurie) Mattes, and Jennifer Rohan. She is further survived by great- nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and friends. Debbie was preceded in death by her father Lester; an infant sister Mary; and her best friend Vernon.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Fr. Timothy Shillcox, O. Praem will officiate and inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Bear Creek. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
