Suspect in custody
A 911 caller reported shortly after 6 p.m. Monday, May 31, that a woman intentionally started a fire in her room at the Norseman Motel, 410 N. Main St., Iola.
Bystanders extinguished the fire.
One person was arrested.
The Iola Police Department was assisted by Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, Iola fire and ambulance departments, the state Division of Criminal Investigation and District Attorney Veronica Isherwood.
The incident remains under investigation.
There is no further information at this time.
