‘Follow That Rabbit’ on stage this weekend
Manawa summer school will present the musical “Follow That Rabbit (The Alice in Wonderland Story)” at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25-26, at Little Wolf High School.
Students ages 4 to 18 (preK to 2021 graduates) have worked all of June to present the musical.
They built sets, prop pieces, costumes, choreographed numbers, and put together other items for the show as part of their summer school class. The story follows Alice on her fall through a rabbit hole into Wonderland where she meets a variety of characters including the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, and the White Rabbit.
Manawa has never done a summer school musical before. It was the brain-child of director Carrie Gruman-Trinkner, the new choir teacher, who recently returned to Wisconsin from teaching in Brooklyn, New York.
Tickets are $5 and available at the door one hour before curtain time. General admission seating is in socially distant family pods. Masking is optional, Patrons should enter through the fitness center doors off the high school parking lot.
