Stabb, Robert “Bob” P. Jr.

Robert “Bob” P. Stabb, Jr., age 76, of Scandinavia, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at St. Michael’s Ascension Hospital in Stevens Point.

He was born in Chicago, IL on November 2, 1944, a son to Robert Sr. and Barbara (Jorgesen) Stabb. On October 11, 1975, he was united in marriage to Melissa Stefan. Bob was a former salesman for Lindsey Machinery and also Viking Engineering. An entrepreneur at heart, he ran several businesses such as a car lot, selling motorcycles and hot tubs, and eventually opening the Old Mill Discount Store. He was a huge car enthusiast and loved anything to do with transportation. Bob volunteered with the ADRC, shuttling veterans and seniors to and from their appointments. He also loved to travel and take rides on his motorcycle. Bob was one of the original founders of the Pepper Palace located in Tennessee, an accomplishment he was very proud of.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Melissa of Scandinavia; children: Carissa Walter of Pewaukee, Lori (Ed) Popoff of Hortonville, Paula Stabb of Sussex; stepsons, Mike Migawa of Carlsbad, CA and Craig (Tanya) Migawa of Dandridge, TN; grandchildren: Ashleigh (Evan) Fredrickson, Joseph Sherman, Cassie Migawa, Alissa Migawa, James Walter and Alixandra Walter. Bob is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Nora Fredrickson, and a great-grandson on the way; sisters, Patty (Chuck) Anderson and Kris (Bryan) Thomas; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Silver Lake Lanes in Scandinavia with Pastor Mark Sabin officiating. A celebration of life gathering will follow. Maple Crest Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
