Laughlin scores pair of goals

Hortonville’s boys’ soccer team headed to New London Aug. 31 and returned home with a 7-0 nonconference win over the Bulldogs.

Six of the Polar Bears’ goals came in the second half after they took a 1-0 halftime lead.

Chase Laughlin led the Polar Bears with two goals and two assists, while Miles Montalbano, Owen Vedder, Rodrigo Castellanos Campos, Jorge Pena Fillaega and Noah Lopez also found the net.

Montalbano, Castellanos Campos, Pena Fillaega, Joey Peikert and Logan Johnson added an assist each.

Hortonville will head to Appleton’s Nienhaus Sports Complex Thursday, Sept. 9, for a Fox Valley Association matchup with Appleton West, while New London will host Waupaca at 6:30 p.m.
