Geraldine “Judy” Johnson, age 82, of Iola, formerly of Neenah, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021 at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was born on July 24, 1939 in Neenah, daughter of the late Theodore and Doris (Erickson) Parks. Shortly after graduating from Neenah High School, she married her high school sweetheart Lawrence “Lorny” Johnson. Judy and Lorny enjoyed 58 years of marriage before he passed away in 2017. Judy was an award winning photographer. She was extremely passionate about her photography and always had a way of capturing the perfect moment.
Judy is survived by her son, Steve Johnson (Lynn Lauersdorf); granddaughter, Brandy Johnson (Karl Palmgren); grandson, Ted (Sarah) Johnson and great-grandchildren, Jack, Alex and Natalie. She is further survived by a brother, John (Darlene) Parks; sisters-in-law, Mardee Parks and Darlene Johnson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to Lorny, Judy was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Parks; sisters-in-law, Marion Burrow and Joyce Beckerson and a brother-in-law, Howie Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. For online condolences, please visit: www.kesslerfh.com.
