Papermakers get the sweep

Polar Bears drop home match

It was a chance for the Hortonville Polar Bears to move up in the Fox Valley Association girls’ volleyball standings.

It was also a chance for the Kimberly Papermakers to stay tied for first place.

Kimberly headed to Hortonville High School Sept. 16 and returned home with a three-set sweep over the Polar Bears.

The Papermakers opened the match with 25-20 and 25-16 wins and completed the sweep with a 25-17 win in the third game.

Kimberly improved to 3-0 in FVA play to keep pace with Fond du Lac, while Hortonville fell to 1-2.

Hortonville will travel to Oshkosh Thursday. Sept. 23, for a FVA match with Oshkosh North at 7 p.m.
