Handrich, William G. Jr.

William G. Handrich Jr., age 94 of Clintonville, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.

William “Bill” Gustave Handrich Jr. was born on December 10, 1926 in the Township of Union, Waupaca County, son to the late William G. and Louisa (Lutz) Handrich Sr. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Symco where he was also a lifelong member. He served as an elder, a trustee, and was active with the stewardship and finance committees; a past member of the men’s club and played dartball for many years. While growing up, Bill farmed with his parents. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Ross on December 9, 1950 and lived in New London for about two years. He then moved to the Township of Lebanon and farmed there, then in 1957 moved to the home farm in the Township of Union and farmed there until his retirement. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Town of Union for many years. Rosemary passed away on November 3, 1984 and Bill moved to Clintonville in 1985. He was later united in marriage to Ruth (Poppe) Tellock on July 17, 1987; she later preceded him in death on November 30, 1997. In addition to farming, William worked for Dallas & Mavis Forwarding Co., South Bend, IN, delivering new trucks to dealerships in the U.S.; American Plywood, New London; Farmway Co., Manawa; and Hundertmark Int., Clintonville. Bill loved traveling on long trips, he also really enjoyed his hunting and fishing over the years.

William is survived by: sons, Dave (Sue) Handrich, Plover and Steve (Brenda) Handrich, Clintonville; grandchildren: Christian Handrich, Matthew Handrich, Thomas Handrich, Tammi (Dustin) Fleisner, Angela (Randy) Radloff, Erica (Roberto) Laredo, Jeremy (Jessica) Handrich, Travis (Maria) Handrich; great-grandchildren: Katlyn, Samantha, Tyler, and Natalie Laredo; Jada and Carson Handrich; Payson and Parker Handrich; Ethyn Handrich; Evan Radloff; Piper Fleisner; step-great-grandchildren: Matthew and Brandon Radloff; Nicholas and Evy Tamayo;
many other nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; both of his wives, Rosemary and Ruth; his son, Daryle Handrich; brothers, Rudolph, Leo, and Clarence Handrich; an infant sister, Lucille; as well as many other in-laws.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Symco with the Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Union Cemetery, Symco. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
