Ronald L. Evans, age 84 of New London, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2021.
He was born on December 20, 1936, son of the late Ronald and Irene (Hauser) Evans in Hollister (Langlade County). Ron served his country in the US Navy from 1954-1958. He was united in marriage to Elaine Ritchie on September 20, 1958 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Ron and Elaine enjoyed attending the Hodag Country Music Festival in Rhinelander since the early ‘80s. He loved to fish, hunt and be outdoors. He worked at Hillshire Farm (Tyson) for 30 years, retiring in 2001.
Ron is survived by his wife Elaine; children: Wade (Kelly) Evans, Evan Evans, Todd Evans, Lynn (Tom) Bentle; grandchildren: Jodi (Jason) Fiane, Jamie Evans, Justin Evans, Jess (Sarah) Evans, Clint (Rachel) Evans, Ethan Bentle, and Kaitlynn Bentle; great-grandchildren: Quinn, Laine, Cash, Piper, Hattie and one on the way; his sister Karen Kopitzke. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services for Ron will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
